GeoAI Detective
A free daily photo-location game
If you like guessing where a photo was taken — the GeoGuessr-style itch, but quick and free — GeoAI Detective gives you one fresh case a day. Study a real photo, drop a pin on the world map, and see how close you got. The twist: a pre-computed AI detective plays the same round, and you watch it reason its way to an answer that’s often confidently, hilariously wrong.
What makes it different
- Free, no signup, no install — it runs in your browser.
- One puzzle a day — a small daily ritual, not an endless time sink.
- No AI-generated images. Every photo is real, human-curated, and open-license, with attribution shown after you guess.
- You watch the AI think. It’s not just “you vs a score” — you see the evidence the AI read and exactly where it went wrong.
How a round works
You get the photo with the location hidden. Reveal evidence clues one at a time if you want (each clue is also given to the AI), drop your pin, and lock in. Both guesses are scored by distance, and you get the satisfying “AI MISSED BY X km” payoff on the days the machine blows it.
