Privacy Policy

GeoAI Detective is a daily browser game. It does not require an account, and the live gameplay path does not call an AI model.

Data We Process

The app stores gameplay results such as score, distance, clue count, puzzle id, and shareable result id. Result pages are public if you share the link, but the shared card intentionally hides the answer.

The app uses cookies or local browser storage for signed sessions, rate limiting, clue progress, and daily streaks. Hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard request data such as IP address, user-agent, timestamps, and error logs.

Analytics

GeoAI Detective emits first-party, server-side operational metrics to understand the play and sharing funnel. These use a non-reversible, salted hash of the signed session — not your identity, name, or email. The site also loads Google Analytics to measure traffic with IP anonymization enabled.

The game is free and there is currently no advertising and no in-app purchase. If advertising or paid features are introduced later, this policy will be updated before they are enabled.

Third-Party Services

The service is hosted on Google Cloud and Firebase Hosting. It uses Firestore for persisted puzzle and result data, and open-license image sources such as Wikimedia Commons for puzzle material.
